Default Project Reality v.8

http://www.realitymod.com/

Check out the new v.85 release of Project Reality.

Fixed all the crappy stuff of v.8 and has added the Russian Faction, Taliban, and Chechnya.

I stopped playing v.8 for a while due to the deviation/servers, but the fixes are amazing now. Around 12 full 64 player servers this release weekend, and lots of different servers to play on.

Check it out

(probably my first post in 1 year so far)

I've not downloaded the new version yet, but I am now. The only thing in .8 I didn't like was the long times it took to raise your scope. I mean, I realise it doesnt just magically pop up, but, I think it's a second to long.

Downloaded, played, liked it but, for a couple of hours. Your getting bored after a while. I think its too realistic qua running for 30 min, non accurate shooting, etc. But this is my opinion.

What I like most of the game is playing in a squad by also use a headset. I hope that it will be also in this game.

PR for the most part is most appealing to mature gamers and tends to weed out younger players. It's purely a simulation of realistic combat which teamwork, coordination, and logistics play a vital role in success.

The maps are enormous RAM hogs compared to regular BF2. I would at least recommend 4gb to run smoothly. If people are interested in 1944 d-day, they will appreciate project reality.

So its the RAM thats lagging me, eh? I thought it was my bad processor. 1 gig of RAM isnt enough these days... I need to buy 2 2gb sticks then.

And PR does tend to weed out young players, but not young players who are mature. Take me, for instance. I find myself to be more mature than most young gamers out there. PR is a blast, but sometimes people don't accept that kids can be mature.. Half the time when I join a server, atleast 2 sqauds say (NO KIDS)

I could just not use my mic, but that makes everything harder.

BF2 itself won't use more than about 2GB of ram unless you download a modified BF2.exe available from the PR forums.

.86, is coming out soon, And they are revamping the medic system, now only one medic per squad and if you're revived and shot again within 60 seconds you perm die instead of being wounded again. unfortunately my 8600 shit the bucket So I won't be able to play until i get my new desktop.
